Should I upgrade to Pianoteq version 8?
We strongly recommend this. Many instruments have been carefully revoiced in order to increase authenticity and playability. The new Classical Guitar is supported, and a fresh streamlined user interface displays the instruments and environments for a clear presentation of selected presets. I purchased my Pianoteq licence recently. Do I need to pay for the upgrade?
If you registered for the first time your Pianoteq licence after 1 November 2021, the upgrade to version 8 is free and automatic. Download from the user area.
How do I purchase the upgrade to Pianoteq version 8?
Visit the upgrades page and click on the "Upgrade version 1 to 7 to version 8" box.
I purchased an instrument pack but did not receive a download link. Why?
The optional instruments are already embedded in Pianoteq in demo mode. You can unlock any of these instruments by entering the specific instrument serial number in the user area. You then need to update your licence in the Pianoteq user interface in Help > About > Update licence by clicking the "Quick Activation" button. Details on how to activate manually (offline) can be found here.
How do I order my software without a credit card?
During purchase, select PayPal as payment alternative. With PayPal you can transfer money from your bank account to your PayPal account and use it for purchases.
Will my licence be entitled to a free future upgrade?
I lost the installation file that I downloaded after purchase. How do I download again?
Download again from the user area.
I purchased a licence. Why did I not receive an order confirmation?
Check your spam/junk folder if the email went there. If you have an email account at sbcglobal.net, att.net, pacbell.net or bellsouth.net then the email might be blocked by the mail server due to aggressive spam filtering. Sometimes emails can be delayed on the mail server. If you have not received the order confirmation within 6 hours, please contact us and provide an alternative email address.
How many instrument packs are included with Pianoteq?
As from 2019, all new purchases include a number of instrument packs as follows: Pianoteq Stage: 2, Pianoteq Standard: 3, Pianoteq Pro: 4. These can be selected, free of choice, during registration.
I chose the wrong instrument pack during registration. What can I do?
If you change your mind regarding any of the chosen instrument packs during registration, please contact us within 14 days. We will then change it for you.
Do upgrades include free instrument packs?
As from 2019, if you upgrade your product from Pianoteq Stage to Standard, or from Pianoteq Standard to Pro, you get 1 additional instrument pack for free. If you upgrade from Pianoteq Stage to Pro, you get 2 additional instrument packs for free. You will be able to select these, free of choice, during registration.
What happens to my licence in the event that Modartt no longer exists?
In such a case we will provide all licence holders an unlocked copy of the software.
Do you offer competitor crossgrade pricing?
No.
If I upgrade to Pianoteq version 8, will my instrument packs be included?
Yes, those instrument packs that are licensed to you will be included and updated.
How can I purchase a licence as a gift for someone?
You can purchase a licence for another person, and then let that person register the licence in his/her name and email address. After purchase, just forward the serial number you receive and the registration link: https://www.modartt.com/user_registration
How do I unlock or update my existing licence in the iOS app?
In the Pianoteq iOS app, go to Options > Instruments. There, press on the "Restore purchases" button. You may be asked to log in to your user account. Your app will then be updated, taking into account what products you have registered in your user account.
Is the iOS app for iPhone/iPad included with Pianoteq 8?
Yes. You can download and evaluate the app via the App Store.
